Music Sharing Week has been a wonderful opportunity for me to learn more about my McFarland Primary students, and how music is part of their lives outside of school!
We have had everything from creative home-made instruments, piano pieces, solo singing, instruments from home, to a Michael Jackson lip sync/dance!
Here is just a sampling of photos from the week!
The Sorcerer's Apprentice has always been a favorite of mine.
I played the music from the Sorcerer's Apprentice by Paul Dukas while I
shared the story in the book that was my dad's when he was young.
We watched the clip on Fantasia so that the students could further connect what was happening
in the story to what the music was portraying.
Sheryl Leemon, our phenomenal Related Arts TA created the Sorcerer's Hat for us to use while acting out the story!
Here are some photos from a few of the first grade classes!
