Music Opposites - 1st grade
First graders have been learning about music opposites and their Italian terms. To illustrate these concepts I used songs/videos from Plank Road Publishing Co. KidTunesVideos

Collaborative Effort- 2nd grade
When MPS PhyEd teacher, Pete Williquette, asked me if there was a song with dance steps that we could collaborate on, I thought it was a wonderful idea, and immediately thought of "Vine Dance".
Enjoy this short video clip! We hope to do more of this collaboration in the future!

2nd Grade: Music That Tells A Story...
Second Grade has experienced Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev. It was a great review of the instruments they learned about in September, and activities included a book, video, word search, and an analysis of the music.
Second Graders will also learn how Stravinsky's Firebird can tell the story of
Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
and be depicted in Fantasia 2000 as well.

I loved how these 2nd graders were "multi-tasking"...listening to "Peter and the Wolf" while working on the wordsearch!
